History

Late sixties & early seventies, witnessed concept of UPS's getting strong foothold in various application areas. Thyristor based designs were more prevalent in USA, Europe & Japan.

In early seventies Mr. Dilip Bhide, after his M.Tech from IIT Powai and a stint in Japan as a Hitachi scholar, visioned that the demand for clean and uninterrupted power will be the need of every industry. He decided to develop indigenous UPS designs, first time using Transistors. He founded DB with a very strong R&D base and gathered a dedicated team of engineers.

In last THREE decades with the country facing acute shortage of clean & stable power, DB's challenges have grown in leaps & bounds. Today a strong workforce of 690 personnel, working in THREE Manufacturing units, ultra modern R & D and a servicing network of over 55 service outlets spread all over India, intends to strive further to design   & produce a high quality, State-of-the-Art UPSs, Inverters, Converters and enhance their Core Competence in Power Electronics.
