Installation and Commissioning

We work alongside you to ensure that your UPS system is ready on time, from assisting you in supervising the on-site installation to performing the UPS commissioning.

We recommend that for commissioning, DB’s Customer Support Engineer should be present. This will guarantee optimum performance of the system. He will undertake installation of UPSs, static switch, batteries, SCVS, and other accessories. Check their connectivity & performance logic. After successful installation of Power electronics, he will check for the Network connectivity solutions, software installations and data logging.


Commissioning

Commissioning involves a scheduled on-site visit during which the service engineer complets following:

•    Complete check of the environmental conditions
•    Inspection of connections
•    System startup
•    Complete check of operating parameters
•    Test of the control and signaling units
•    Assessment of battery performance under mains failure conditions
     (partial battery discharge)
•    Other operations can also be performed such as battery erection & commissioning and
     autonomy testing and On-site witness test.

This ensures;
Proper operation of system throughout equipment life cycle
Reduce costs, due to the quality and efficiency of the job performed
Validate the UPS warranty
Train the site staff in basic operation procedures and safety rules


Battery Installation

Along with UPS, DB engineers / technicians undertakes responsibility of installing batteries and carry out necessary tests like battery backup, charger current setting etc. at site. He gives preliminary instruction to the maintenance staff at site and informs important Do’s & Don’ts to them.
